BENTON — A Belleville woman has been sentenced to four and a half years in prison for stealing elderly women's identities.On Nov. 22, Ashley McKinney, 39, of Belleville, was sentenced to 54 months in federal prison for identity theft, conspiracy to commit bank and wire fraud and money laundering. According to court documents, for almost a year McKinney defrauded elderly women in southern Illinois with the help of her co-conspirator, Erica Rose. United States Attorney Rachelle Crowe said Rose abused her employment as an in-home caretaker and stole the identities of her elderly clients.
